Not sure where the hell you were going but acid techno has always been strong in the midwest, you would prolly have to leave chicago though. Chicago has always been house/jungle unless you dug deep.

I didn't know it's sooo housey  Grin

Um, they invented house music...

Minneapolis and Milwaukee have always been about the acid though. Drop Bass + Woody McBride = win.

Yo smartass Smiley

I was thinking Chicago will be like any other BIG city in Europe (London, Amsterdam, Berlin etc.) or NYC: all different genres will be present in local clubs. We were lucky cause we like good music so we enjoyed hard techno/d'n'b/house/world music djs/artists that were coming to Chicago.

Um, in general, any time you tack the "UK" in front of a genre it means you are refering to the cheesy crappy version.

Reference UK hard house or UK Speed garage for examples of said crappiness.

I'm not generally familiar with labels for styles I think are crap. I have no idea about electro-house, either...

What an experience!! Perfect kickoff for a very exiting summer!  Grin

Big thanks to the Chilluminati for this event. Thanks to Trancepsyndicate for the dicovery of the venue and that sound! Oh the Sound! 100,000 watts of pure sonic nectar. Havnt heard an outdoor system with such range clarity. Gutwrenchingly loud but you could still have a chat with someone on the floor and hear every word! Thanks to the deco team...

The sun tapestry on the left was wonderful!

Does anyone know who made the sun tapestry and whether they sell any at all..I would love to buy one of those..Smiley
Nice!!
