I had an absolute blast .... thank you everyone for the awesome vibe. It felt so much more like family this time around. Considering the cold and the massive crowd on the dancefloor Tongue I think the feel of this festival was more social... sitting around the camfire and talking. did so much more of that this time around that my mind and body came out feeling totally refreshed. this was the perfect end to the outdoor season....the dancefloor balagan will have to wait for an indoor or next summer.

Medicin ... whoooooaa. What a set. I second that he should be back every time! Smiley And he was on the dancefloor all thru too! Thank you!! Smiley

Primordial Ooze! Better than I've ever heard them before. And everyone said that... including the folks who had heard em play at Worldbridge. Hope that quality keeps getting better... these guys will def. go places.

Meghans set was probably one of the best opening 30 mins of a dark set I have ever heard.... so tribal. I have this video of my head of everyone on the dancefloor thumping the ground with their feet to that groovy dark sound.... aaah wonderful. Cheesy

Shais set rearraged the clouds ... till the point of that power outage! Sad ... but it was one of my most memorable too... deep trips!

The Random and Paradigm combo was probably one of the best I've ever heard. All you saturday night sleepers suck! You missed one heck of a sunrise soundtrack. Thank you guys for playing such stellar sets  for the few of us that were there on the floor.

Kuorosh Dini and Josh Brill were pure magic. The real psychedelic musicians. Kuorosh played right after I did.... so I got to see him set up. As soon as I was done, he sat down on his synth/piano, closed his eyes and played pure psychedelic chords.... I could feel the energy around him. Beautiful sounds. Fluid... thought provoking. Sounds that can make you cry.
Thank you so much!

Most of the other sets seemed to blend into the earth ... there wasnt a single time that I heard a track/set/any sound, and cringed.... that was a first for me. Everyone seemed to put their best into the music... wish it had been the same for the dancefloor.

The buddha alter was amazing! The pumpkin patch for the best thing ever! hahahha I'm still cracking up. Pauldo .. u rock! Smiley Thank u! Smiley

Psygoof.... You suck!  And so do you Damon for leaving on Saturday with half my smoke. Booooo. Tongue

Cant wait to go back to NCN. Second time around was amazing. Hope we have more events there.

see you all again soon.

~Boom

That's Devorah's. I think everything in the chill canopy tent was Devorah's.  Smiley

@ Pauldo his website is  www.punkadelik.com

@ Damon, fantastic, next rounds on you. I prefer Import lagers or quality micorbrews Too bad we did not meet. I meet some great folks this past weekend, but i certainly do know you were not one among them.

and on another note, I know the sets were recorded this past weekend. Who did that and how can we get access to them?  I would love to have mine for selfish purposes, but would love to hear Medisins set again, and this now famous Ooze set that i unfortunatley missed

I recorded my jam with Koroush and Josh on Mp3.  Unfortunately, there's an annoying buzz in the left channel from someone's mixer.  Cool

Ok Damon, what wasn't?  Huh Unless you are referring to the living organisms dancing and mulling around. Those works of art I cannot take credit for.  Smiley

I had my mirror-cloth lamp from Goa hanging up there somewhere Tongue

Deb. Next time we have a chill stage I'd like to work with you on an alter. I have some original organic ideas
and some I've picked up from travelling east. I'm sure we can put something even better together... after all,
we're not going to do the same buddha thing again but can probably integrate it into something bigger.

speaking of deco, some of he gnome statues took a hit  Cry
...from the chillumafia banner (flying up in the wind) of all things!

and I really liked the Shri Yantra that ended up at the psystage. Was that yours Varun?
We should always have mandalas or sacred geometry tapestries around!
And I missed the Hindu god tapestries this time. But it's cool to change up the look, I suppose...

Sad Sorry Gnomes Sad

The mandala wasnt mine... but I liked that too. The geometry just sucks you in. Looked perfect on the main stage.

One deco piece I liked was that huge banner at Earthdance. The same one we had at Metatronic2. We should get that back next time around.

My bad  Embarrassed I remember now that you had hung it between the multicolored lanterns.

Damon your still a pain.  Tongue

I would love to Varun.

Deco is quickly becoming too much work and losing its "fun" value for me. I felt like all I did at the event was work on deco with very little direct acknowledgment. It didn't help matters when some of my materials walked off. I know that the stretchy tube stuff is enticing but I do have a limited supply that seems to diminish after each event. A couple even had the nerve to pull some out of Pauldo's scarecrow and run off with it. Huh I don't mind people playing with it but don't just take it so that nobody else can enjoy it.  Angry This is why Jef has been talking soo much about deco appreciation.

Now that I am in Grad school, I  cannot do everything. Undecided Realistically, I won't be able to do any more events that are during the school year. This last one nearly kicked my ass as I had a paper due this week that barely got done. I will be able to do deco for one or two events in the summer and that's it.
